Happy
I am back - for now at least. The last couple of months have been filled with stress and joy, and laughter and tears, and all of the things that fall in between.
Incase you didn't know I struggle with an anxiety order as well as depressions so sometimes life seems completely overwhelming and regardless of how badly I want to sit down and write, I feel completely paralyzed and all of the words jumbling around in my head can't find a way out so I save them all in another draft for another day. A day like today when the sun is shining and my head seems a little quieter than it usually does.
So, what's happened so far in 2018?
In January my brother got married to the coolest girl ever and that was super great. In February I went to New Workers Orientation with the C&MA and started on my ordination which is also pretty great. In May I preached my first sermon in 'big church' which was a blast. You can listen to the audio recording here. So far in June I've gone to Calgary for general assembly and helped my parents with their garden and n July I'm going to Ontario for a couple weeks. I've read more, smiled more, surrendered to God more, and in the midst of stressful situations I feel peace that is way beyond me.
I'm thankful for the joy that God allows me to experience, even in the midst of anxiety. I'm thankful each and every day joy is a decision I can make because it doesn't depend on circumstances or what my brain is thinking.
Today I'm also very happy for the colour yellow and the sunshine outside because I just can't help but smile and think about God's goodness.
